Infant/Toddler Training

The New Jersey First Steps Infant/Toddler Initiative was created to assist early educators in offering the very best possible care for New Jersey's youngest children. In the central region, Community Coordinated Child Care of Union County is working with Child Care Connection to provide training and technical assistance to infant and toddler educators in Mercer County. The initiative is funded by the New Jersey Dept. of Human Services/Division of Family Development. First Steps offers 50 hours of free training in Mercer County annually. Click here for the upcoming schedule of infant/toddler-related training opportunities. For more information, please call our Training Dept. at 609/989-7940.

Strengthening Families Initiative

The Strengthening Families Initiative (SFI) seeks to increase the positive outcomes for children and families by showing child care programs how they can implement small but significant changes in their daily practice to increase family strengths, enhance child development, and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. There are currently no SFI workshops scheduled; please check back or call our Training Dept. at 609/989-7940!
